Introduction to news

 Left Wing - you believe the governments jobs is to create and sometimes force equality and therefore help those who need it, taking more from those who don't. You support state education, immigration and th NHS and you believe that crime is committed mainly because society failed to help those who need it and that better education is better than punishment to reduce crime.

Right Wing - You believe that the governments job is to create opportunity and encourage competition by rewarding those who succeed and not intervening to help those who don't. You support private education and healthcare and you believe that crime is committed by those who choose to and they should be punished in order to discourage anyone else doing the same. 

  • Egalitarianism - a striving for everyone being equal
  • Pragmatism - practice solutions, getting on with it
  • Regulation - rules
  • Ethics - rules that govern an area of life that are agreed by a community eg doctors 
  • Morals - what an individual or family thinks is right and wrong

The advertising industry is a powerful and important industry that can shape and create ideas that are then pushed onto audiences and consumers who see these adverts.
